The TeraDrive™ technology uses breakthroughs in wavelength beam combining to achieve the BPP and power required for demanding applications like high speed cutting and remote welding. What’s more, with wavelength selectability we can operate at the optimal wavelength for a wide range of materials. And we have the highest wall plug efficiency of any industrial laser.
Our Company
TeraDiode is commercializing technology pioneered at MIT Lincoln Laboratory by Dr. Bien Chann and Dr. Robin Huang. In September 2009, Mr. David Sossen, former VP at Arthur D. Little and Dr. Fred Leonberger, former CTO of JDSU, secured Series A funding from Stata Venture Partners. In December, we began product design and development in Littleton, MA leading to our first ultra-bright direct-diode laser 6 months later.
